One of the best parts of owning a bar thus far has been meeting brewers and distributors. Today, we had our first tasting with representatives from one of the biggest and most diverse distributors in Manhattan, S.K.I. Beer Distributors. They brought WAY TOO many beers for us to taste, especially for middle of the afternoon!
There wasn’t a bad one in the bunch but there was one that was worth sharing on the site.
Notice the demo in the picture behind the bottle. That area will soon be transformed into the shelves behind the bar.
CONEY ISLAND ALBINO PYTHON
– American Pale Ale
– 6.00% ABV
– Wit Lager brewed with spices including fennel, ginger and sweet orange peel.
REV SAYS – Every fighter has a knock-out punch and this definitely qualifies. The Albino Python has an unassuming aroma and a surprising taste. If you can imagine the flavor combination of Lager and Absinthe, you have this beer. I might go as far as describing it as the pizza of beers, anyone could make you one but why not have the best!?!? Also, fennel is really popular in Italian food.
